On this day in 1855 Prince Igor (orgoriy) had turned eighteen and was eligible to be proclaimed a Tsar. This was a major change in Russian history and there were celebrations throughout the land, with the participation of all the smaller Russian Families which had been around prior to his accession to the throne. The entire process was a significant cultural shift and the entire Russian society became deeply involved in the celebrations.
